The Refiner's Fire

I heard once that the way a Silversmith refines silver is an interesting process.  Apparently he turns up the heat, and the impurities rise to the top.  He skims them off....and turns up the heat.  The impurities rise to the top.  The silversmith skims them off....and turns up the heat.  He continues this process - turning up the heat, skimming off impurities, turning up the heat, skimming off impurities.....UNTIL he looks into the vat of silver and can see his own reflection.

To this, I say - turn up the heat, Lord, remove all that doesn't belong.......I choose integrity, I choose character, I choose to do what is right no matter the cost.  My prayer - that You may see Your reflection.  If You can, then others who need YOU might also.
