Let 2-A-Days Begin

Good morning, Everyone!!

I'll post a separate summary of the Berlin trip later today.....but this morning, as the day begins, I have a few specific groups of people on my mind.  One of things I have enjoyed the very most since the launch of Ignite International is becoming personally and deeply connected to a growing number of teams from Christian colleges across the United States.  Having been the product of Christian higher education, I do appreciate the academic rigors, spiritual expectations and the incredible opportunity for lifelong relationships that this environment affords.  And while there is natural rivalry between opponents, what I have observed is that there is not one single university that supercedes the others.  Rather, there are many who are uniquely designed to be the perfect venue for learning for those who are led to attend there.  For one, it might be because of the excellence of a major course of study.  For another, it might be the location or size of the student body.  For another, it might be the quality of the athletic team or the coach.  For another, it might be that there is a family or friend connection.  Whatever the case, each student-athlete is uniquely fitted for their particular school.......as the school is uniquely fit for each specific student-athlete.

This week, I am thinking often of those teams that have gone with us (or have expressed desire to go in the next year) to serve across the nations.  I have been uniquely impressed with each and every group, and consider it an honor to be part of their experience and to have them as part of our's:

Houghton College Volleyball
Taylor University Volleyball
Indiana Wesleyan University Volleyball
King College Volleyball
Spring Arbor University Volleyball
Greenville College Volleyball
Malone University Women's Basketball
Nyack College Softball
Virginia Intermont Volleyball
Lee University Volleyball
Bryan College Volleyball
Roberts Wesleyan College Men's Basketball (coach trip)
Cloud Nine Men's Basketball

For those beginning their competitive seasons this week - consider yourselves prayed for!!  Several of these schools are geographical or conference rivals......I am grateful for the opportunity to be a huge fan of BOTH sides in all cases :-)

Berlin post and photo album later today..........stay tuned!!!
